Refund & Returns Policy

At The Ottoman Society, we want you to be happy with your purchase. Please choose your size carefully and review the product information and size guide before placing your order.

CHANGE OF MIND – AUSTRALIA

For orders delivered within Australia, we do not offer refunds or exchanges simply because you have changed your mind, selected the wrong size, or no longer want the item.

Please check our size guide and product information carefully before ordering.

This change-of-mind policy does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Our products come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded. If a product has a major problem, you may be entitled to a refund or replacement. If the problem is minor, we may provide an appropriate remedy such as a repair or replacement, in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Where a product is confirmed to have a problem covered by Australian Consumer Law, we will reimburse reasonable return costs where required by law.

DAMAGED, FAULTY OR INCORRECT ITEMS

If your order arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at:

Please provide your order number and a description of the issue. We may request photographs or other information to assess the problem.

If the item is confirmed to be faulty, damaged or incorrect, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer law.

If we ask you to return an item, we will provide you with return instructions. Where required by applicable law, we will cover or reimburse the reasonable return costs.

TÜRKİYE – CONSUMER WITHDRAWAL RIGHTS

For orders delivered to Türkiye, mandatory consumer rights under applicable Turkish consumer legislation may apply.

Where applicable, consumers purchasing through a distance contract have a statutory right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days, without giving a reason or paying a penalty.

The withdrawal period generally begins when the consumer receives the goods. Consumers may also exercise the withdrawal right before delivery.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or restrict any mandatory consumer rights that apply to customers in Türkiye.

Where a statutory withdrawal right applies, the customer must notify us within the applicable legal period and return the goods within the applicable timeframe.

Where the statutory withdrawal right applies, The Ottoman Society will refund the payments covered by applicable law, including the applicable delivery costs, within the required legal timeframe.

Where the customer returns the product using the carrier specified in the pre-contract information, or where no return carrier has been specified, the customer will not be charged the return shipping cost where required by Turkish law.

PRODUCTS PREPARED TO CUSTOMER SPECIFICATIONS

Certain products may be excluded from the statutory withdrawal right where they are prepared specifically according to the customer's wishes or personal needs, where permitted by applicable law.

A standard product that is simply ordered after a customer places an order is not automatically treated as a personalised product.

PRE-ORDERS

Pre-order products are produced or prepared after the pre-order period closes.

The estimated production and delivery timeframe will be stated on the relevant product page before purchase.

Cancellation requests made before production begins may be considered where possible. Once production has commenced, cancellation may not be possible except where required by applicable consumer law.
